Senator Margery Okadigbo, who represents Anambra
North Senatorial District, at weekend, said contrary to reports that she hardly
empathise with her senatorial zone, she has done her best to impact positively
on those she represents in the senate in the past two years she has been there.
She said this in what looked like a
score card she presented on Sunday evening when Ohaneze Youths, Anambra State
chapter, led by Tony Ezekwelu, paid her a courtesy visit at her country home in
Ogbunike, Oyi local council.
Margery, widow of flamboyant politician
and former Senate President, Chuba Okadigbo, said she met regularly with her
ward leaders in Anambra North as well as other politicians she described as
nucleus of her party in the area.
According to her, she has given jobs to
over 40 people in the Federal Civil Service, built nine three-classroom blocks
in her senatorial districts and brought electricity to Anambra West.
Apart from these, Okadigbo,, who is the
Vice Chairman of Senate Committee on Health, said she has also looked into
infant and maternal health care and has built five health centres in the area
with another five in next year’s budget.
Thank you for recognizing the active population... Ada Igbo!
