7 Things Fr. Mbaka Got Absolutely Wrong - Chinedu Nwosu

During his end of the year cross over night service, Father Mbaka of Enugu State, a catholic priest started voicing support for Buhari. His audience were shocked and fell entirely silent even during the time he called for responses. The priests themselves, standing on the stage with him all folded their hands in awe as the man of God dabbled into politics.

This is a video of Buhari with a spear encouraging his followers to kill people during election. After he lost that election, youth corpers where mobbed. Then he stayed for 2 days before coming to bbc under pressure to ask his people to stop the violence.

He said people should vote Buhari because Jonathan could not stop 'simple insurgency'. In reality, insurgency is not simple, no country has been able to stop insurgency once it has started. Kenya, Libya, Israel, Pakistan, Afghanistan, USA (with all their technology and sophistication), Nigeria.

Here is Why YOU Must Vote Jonathan Again

3rd Tenure Matures in Abia State as Dr Ikpeazu Picks Speaker as Running Mate

Voting for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State gubernatorial election is like voting for a tenure elongation for the current government.

The people’s cry for a change in style of government has fallen on deaf ears as the State’s governorship candidate of the ruling PDP, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has named the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Ude Okochukwu as his running mate for next month’s elections.

Military Denies Holding Buhari's Certificates

Just few days after the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Muhammadu Buhari, explained in an affidavit submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, that all his academic credentials were with the Military Board, the Army have denied holding such documents.

General Buhari has never had qualifications controversy having contested the presidential election four times under different political parties including the defunct All Nigeria People’s Party, ANPP and the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, until the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, recently described him as a ‘’semi- illiterate.’’

Super Eagles: Amokachi Takes Over? See Keshi's Words for Daniel

There have been widespread speculations that Super Eagles Assistant Coach, Daniel Amokachi, wants to take over the job of Stephen Keshi as head coach.

The rumour became rife against the backdrop of the team’s international friendly matches against Cote D’ Ivoire and Sudan in Abu Dabi on January 11 and 17 respectively, which Amokachi is in charge.

Recall that Amokachi has been in charge of the team after the team was eliminated from the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations by South Africa last November. He coached the team in the friendly against Ghana that Nigeria won 1-0 at the Akwa Ibom Stadium last year.

According to Amokachi, he was not carried away with reports claiming his capability of tinkering the team for future tournaments.

Our New Year Hopes, Dreams Shall not Fall with Falling Oil Prices - Obiano

The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has assured Ndi Anambra that their hopes and dreams for a prosperous year shall not fall with the falling price of oil in the international market.

Delivering his New Year Message to the people titled “Stretching to a New Height of Excellence,” Governor Obiano observed that “the future of any society lies in its capacity to look beyond the darkness and doubts of today and see a glimmer of hope in the shadows of tomorrow.”

According to him, though many experts have predicted a tough year for Nigeria in the face of plummeting oil prices, such forecasts would never dampen the aspirations of Ndi Anambra adding that “with our enormous human and material resources, we shall not surrender our ambitions to dwindling oil prices in the international markets. We shall draw on history and our past accomplishments to stretch the scope of our vision and expand the boundaries of our possibilities.”

My dear Ndi Anambra, I bring you warm greetings as we enter into a new year.  We should be grateful, individually and collectively that God saw us through 2014 and ask for Divine guidance in 2015. Fellow citizens, the New Year presents us a chance to look inwards to re-appraise ourselves and look outwards and renew our faith in God. Indeed, it is a time to make resolutions and rededicate ourselves to the values that define us and the challenges and struggles that shape our evolving society. Above all, the New Year is a time to freshen up our convictions on the ties that bind us together as one people who must break through the limitations of time and resources to lay a solid foundation for hope. The future of any society lies in its capacity to look beyond the darkness and doubts of today and see a glimmer of hope in the shadows of tomorrow.

Ndi Anambra, we look back at where we are coming from to where we are today and where we are heading to in the future, we can all see that our tomorrow will be greater than our yesterday. Our state is now in its 23rd year.  Although this great state may not have started out strong, it has over the last couple of years picked up momentum.  We are committed to taking the state to greater heights with our articulated Blue Print.

Recalling Obiano’s Colourful Ascension to the APGA Throne

Wednesday December 17 2014 was a special day in the life of the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA).

See How Lawmakers Fight Themselves on Boxing Day

Boxing on the Boxing Day is not really out of order but when it involves lawmakers, I begin to imagine.

Some lawmakers ripped microphones off their tables and used them as weapons to fight their colleagues.
