This Is Why Tambuwal Is No Longer Entitled To Security Details... AGF Explains

Attorney General of the Federation, Muhammed Bello Adoke.
The Nigeria’s Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, Mohammed Adoke, has opened up on why the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, is no longer entitled to security details.

According to Adoke, Tambuwal had ceased to be a member of the House and its Speaker having defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, which in 2011 sponsored his election into the House of Representatives, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The Attorney General maintained that Tambuwal had now become an ordinary citizen, who was no longer entitled to the privileges attached to the office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The explanation is being canvassed by both the Inspector-General of Police, Suleiman Abba, and Adoke in a joint counter-affidavit which they filed before Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the Federal High Court, Abuja, in response to the suit by Tambuwal and the APC.

Yesterday Was My Birthday... Thank YOU!

Yea, yesterday was my Birthday...

Party - 1%

Work - 19%

Show of Love from You - 80%

I have had decades of such a day but none has been so good.

No party, no planned special gathering but uncountable show of love, prayers and great wishes from YOU.

Via over 20 Social Networks, notifications from men/women of goodwill poured in to thank me for an interesting life so far; to pray for a smother path for me and to wish me a greater and brighter future...

I was filled with emotions... I cried and laughed... Expressing joy in tears!

I tried numbering them but they were so much; I tried picking the best but they were all uplifting...

From persons I know and those I don't... From humans I miss and those I lost contact with...
From great friends and some enemies in our "profession"

I became humble... Yes I felt loved!

Be it known that;

Those Calls, SMS, Posts, DPs, Profile Pics, Comments, Tweets, Likes, Links, Write-Ups and Forum Chats... (Replied and otherwise)

Created by You just for me, will ever guide my path!

I appreciate!

You made my day!

To my Senior Colleagues... One Love! Your late night treat was bomb!

May YOU all be rewarded!

Understanding Ebelechukwu Obiano’s Crusade for Women & Children

Before the advent of the Better Life for Rural Women programme, by the wife of former military President, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, late Mrs Miriam Babangida, the role of Nigerian First Ladies was contestable.

Emerging at the end of non-dignifying Women's Liberation era of the late 70s, the role of the woman was more in the kitchen than elsewhere. The role of the wives of our Heads of State was nominal, and restricted to ceremonies that gave them the status of a mere appendage than any dignified state sequence. The main argument in support of this situation was its non-constitutionality, stressing that any role or position not founded in the constitution is ultra vires, null and void.

2015: APGA Cautions INEC, PDP on Fielding Double Candidates

The national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Sir Victor Umeh, has petitioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the possibility of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) fielding multiple candidates for each electoral position in the 2015 general elections in Anambra State.

In a letter to the PDP national chairman, Adamu Muazu, the APGA chieftain urged the party not to willingly or negligently parade multiple candidates for the coming elections just as he threatened that APGA and its candidates would go to court to seek the disqualification of the PDP and its multiple candidates for the National Assembly and State Assembly elections in Anambra State in 2015.

Umeh, in the letter to the INEC chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, stated that,

When Chief Sir Victor Umeh gets to the Senate with your support and Votes, he has promised to help ensure that a law to effect more Job Creation and Taxpayers’ Protection is enacted and signed; he has assured us that he will work to see that our country encourage the creation of new private sector jobs for our jobless youths, and also ensure that fiscal responsibility is strictly adhered to by our federation government because our people have spoken loud and clear that they want the state to cut spending of our common wealth.

These priorities have been ignored or handled with half a quarter interest; we urge you all to support us in electing those individuals who share our objectives and are committed to getting results that shall recreate Nigeria. It is not enough to just elect a Senator, elect a Senator who knows our priorities and who shall tackle them when sent to the Senate Chambers.
