The truth is out, read this story as published by the Punch Newspapers:

The President, Students Union Government of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Mr. Isaac Ibikunle, has described as falsehood the report  in some quarters that students of the university hurled stones and other missiles  at  President Goodluck Jonathan during his visit to the campus on Friday.

The SUG president spoke in an interview with our correspondent in Osogbo on Saturday.

He said that students of the university insisted on discussing with Jonathan on the increment of the fees charged by the school and the President obliged.

He said, “We read some reports that the President was stoned, booed and harassed when he came to our campus. This is not correct.

“Security personnel initially prevented us from seeing the president but we insisted that we wanted to discuss with him and we were allowed to see him.

Basically, at the end of the day they have nothing to offer you and for your benefits. They want to represent themselves and their immediate families, friends and cohorts and nothing more. Moreover, most of them were hired; by the unpatriotic God-fathers and the opposing political parties who had vowed to destroy APGA, the only Igbo Party and voice of the Igbos.

Then, the pertinent question is whom do we vote for among these candidates?

Arc Chinelo Ofoche: A Round Peg in a Round Hole

Elections are contested by many but only the right candidates are expected to come out victorious.

The decision on who becomes the right candidate depends not just on the inherent abilities of the contestants but also very important is the perception of the electorates.

Being aware of these facts, I have strong feelings that Hon Chinelo Ofoche is on the right track to clinch the House of Representatives seat for the good people of Oyi/Ayameum Federal Constituency.

Her experience in public relations and human management stands her out amidst other contenders. A young mother with articulate and people-oriented manifesto detailing her vision for a greater Oyi/Ayamelum.

A 5-minute chat with Arc Chinelo uncovers her love for women and the vulnerable with a rare character that ranks her among the top philanthropic women of our time.

Obiano Should Call his Wife to Order – APC: A Right of Reply

Deputy-Governor of Anambra State,Dr Nkem Okeke with his wife, Oby (left) and wife of the Governor, Ebelechukwu Obiano (right)

The APGA Zionist Movement, is saddened but not surprised by the disinformation contained in a statement issued by Mr Okelo Madukaife, Publicity Secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Anambra State chapter, on behalf of the party, purporting an act of aggression by Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano, wife of the Anambra State governor against Mrs. Oby Okeke, wife of the Deputy Governor.

We are disturbed that the spokesman of a political party will consciously choose to thrive on falsehood just to get a kick from running down eminent citizens and satisfy the urge to receive media attention.

Wow! The Love Between Anambra First Lady and Deputy Governor's Wife

Natural harmony can never be broken just like the strong love uniting a set of twins.

The picture (above) shows the Anambra State Deputy-Governor, Dr. Nkem Okeke and his wife, Lady Oby cheerfully chatting with the first lady of the state within the legislative chambers, today during the presentation of 2015 Draft Estimate (Budget) by Gov Willie Obiano at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Awka

I wish all states in Nigeria will have such cordial relationship between the first families and their deputies. See more pictures below...

Be Agents of Transformation, First Lady Charges Knights of the Anglican Communion

The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dame Dr. Patience Jonathan, has charged Knights of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, to act as agents of transformation by ministering to the faithful so that the transformation programmes of the government will permeate all parts of the country. Dame Jonathan made the call yesterday in an address delivered on her behalf by Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Chief (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano, during the Joint Council of Knights, Anglican Communion Delegates Conference holding in Onitsha, Anambra State.

The First Lady said that the theme of the Delegates Conference “Occupy till I come,” taken from the Bible passage of St Luke is apt for Nigeria which is undergoing  transformation and require all hands on deck especially men and women of faith who are well placed to provide leadership at all levels.

Bishop Ibezim Condemns False Report against Obiano’s Wife

The Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese Rt. Rev Dr. Alexander Ibezim has condemned a report which emanated from the internet and was carried by some careless publications alleging that the Anambra State Governor’s wife slapped the Deputy Governor’s wife at the dedication of his child last Sunday. He described the story as false and fabricated by persons who do not have good intentions. Rt. Rev Dr.  Ibezim who was speaking to a cross-section of Journalists at the Bishop’s Court before Sunday Service, said that he was appalled at the allegation.

According to the Archbishop, “I was with Wife of the Anambra State Governor Chief (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano who also represented her husband. We were together with the Deputy Governor Dr. Nkem Okeke and his wife Oby and no such thing happened until I escorted them when they were going. It is all lies.”  Continuing the Bishop said, “You can imagine my surprise when people were calling my wife and I over something we knew nothing about, or any person at the event, that such happened at the dedication service for our son Joshua.”

Yuletide: Obiano Tightens Security with Operation Sheba

After establishing himself firmly on top of the security scenario in Anambra State as the chief security officer of the state, Governor Willie Obiano has initiated a wave of new measures to deepen the security network in the state and give Ndi Anambra a chance at experiencing the first crime-free Christmas in decades. One of the new security measures that the governor has rolled out for a safer Anambra this Yuletide Season is Operation Sheba, a special, combat-ready, anti-crime police squad that was unveiled recently in Onitsha to give a new dimension to crime-fighting in Anambra State.

Made up of 150 elite officers and men of the Nigerian Police Force, Operation Sheba was introduced to give crime-bursting in Anambra State a new and biting edge. The squad is split into three units of 50 officers each, designated to 24 hours surveillance on each of the three senatorial districts of the state. Operation Sheba comes to provide more depth to the all-conquering Operation Kpochapu which is credited with wiping out criminals, especially kidnappers from Anambra State in less than two months of swinging into action. Operation Sheba’s strength lies in its high mobility and penetrating surveillance that covers virtually the length and breadth of Anambra State and its rapid response ability.

Meet the Historic Nigerian, the First Black Councilor in Poland

A Nigerian, Justin Nnorom, has emerged as councilor in a district in Poland, the first to achieve such a feat in the history of the eastern European country.

Justin was elected councilor of Dabrowka -gmina Dopiewo, a district in the city of Poznan.

A former Nigerian international footballer, Justin who had a long spell with the famous BCC lions FC of Gboko with whom he won the Mandela Cup, later had a short stint with Polish side Lech Poznan qualifying them for Europa Cup for the first time.

His career was unfortunately cut short by a knee injury. Several operations carried out in Germany to repair the damaged knee, failed thus making him to quit prematurely from soccer game.

See the Step-Father who Serially Raped & Impregnated a 13-Year Old Girl

 Richard,the suspect, strongly denies allegation
I picked this report from the Vanguard and I’m posting it as part of my contributions to ensuring we stop this madness called rape.

Parents and adults generally have responsibility to care for, educate, and discipline children but when the children begin to detest the parents, then the situation calls for concern.

13 -year-old Blessing Chia allegedly fell victim to regular beating by his step father, Mr Benjamin Richard, 35, who, as she claimed, later lusted after her.

The allegation by the girl that the step father serially raped her to the point of her getting pregnant is a subject of police investigations.

Blessing told Sunday Vanguard, “The first time my mother was not around, he took cane and was beating me and told me that if I messed up, he would kill me, that if I shouted or if my mummy heard anything about it, he was going to kill me.
