Ebonyi/Ohaukwu 2015: IKENGA receives endorsement, set to break the Youth Mark

As part of activities heralding the declaration of Chief Emmanuel Uzor (Ikenga Ndigbo) to vie for the seat of House of Representative to represent, Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency, EBOHAFED, Ebonyi state, he held a stakeholders’ meeting at LUMEN SUITS, Nkisi, GRA, Onitsha.

During the meeting, Ikenga used the opportunity to bare his mind on the challenges ahead as well called on the stakeholders from mainly, Ngbo na Izhia, Izzi and Effium communities to support his mission to liberate them from shackles of poor representation.

It was also a fund raising dinner for Ikenga project.

Speaking during the meeting, the Coordinator, Ikenga Solidarity Front, Chief Peter Igwe said the meeting was to familiarize with EBOHAFED indigenes resident in Onitsha as well to tell them the need for them to support the Ikenga Liberation Movement aimed at enthroning credible leadership that will guarantee good representation in the constituency.

Chief Igwe further extolled the leadership qualities of Ikenga whom he described as a polished and exposed gentleman that has seen it all and has contributed immensely towards sustenance of democracy in the country.

He called on EBOHAFED in the commercial city to rally round the project and see it as a project that has all the ingredients to bring good fortune to the people of Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency.

The Coordinator of Ikenga Solidarity Front also rued the lack of vision and mission representation the people of the constituency had witnessed in the past, attributing it to the crop of representatives we have entrusted with our mandate and assured them that the trend will change for better if they support Ikenga for the position.

“He is a man that has seen it all; he is a young man that is desirous of change. His contributions towards the sustenance of the country’s democracy cannot be overemphasized, so having somebody of his character as our representative is surely the beginning of a new dawn for our people. I have engaged him in discussions and from what he told me which he said will form the bedrock of his campaign promises, I came to understand that this man has great blueprint that will transform our constituency which hitherto has been in ruin due to lack of proper and effective representation in the past”

"With his vast knowledge and connection with various segments in the society, Ikenga would not be swallowed in inferiority complex which has been the bane of our past and present representatives at the lower chamber of the National Assembly” he said.

Reacting, the leader of Izzi people resident in Anambra, Chief John Nwambam described Ikenga as a young man with vision to change the society and said his people and indeed the people of Ebonyi local government area resident in the state shall support the project.

His Ngbo na Izhia counterpart, Mr. Ngerem Nwiguma said there was no need to begin to question the credibility, acceptability and personality of Ikenga, adding that from the onset, his people have accepted to give him support to represent them at the National Assembly.

He said that his people have made it as matter of conscience, good faith, equity and justice to give the people of Effium the chance to produce the next House of Representatives candidates since both Izzi and Ngbo have held the position in succession.

I believe today is better in the hands of conscious youths...
