15 Generals Retire from Active Service

  
15 Generals comprising 5 Major-Generals and 10 Brigadier-Generals have ended their active service for Nigeria.

According to news reports, the ceremony took place at the Nigerian Army School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (NASEME) Auchi, Edo State, on October 31, 2014.

Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Chief Patrick Obahiagbon, Chief of Staff to Edo Government and Capt. Pius Senebe attended the event.

The Corps Commander of NASEME Maj.-Gen. S. Labaran made a speech during a parade held in honour of the retirees.

Labaran emphasised that the top-ranked officers served the country meritoriously, wished them well in their various future endeavours.

In his speech on behalf of the outgoing Generals, Maj.-Gen. Thompson Oliomoghe (rtd.) expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Army for the opportunity to serve the nation.

3. Friday Airende
4. Abass Adekanye
5. Richard Maduegbunam.

The Brigadier-Generals are:
1. Abel Okpeki
2. Samuel Ayo
3. Samuel Adesogan
4. Idi Adamu
5. Patrick Oviaghase
6. Peter Aremu
7. Jacob Amao
8. Ibrahim Alawode
9. Chukwuka Ani
10. Joshua Ibilaye.
