With very competitive test loading as 2015 elections draw nearer, only the candidates with close ties with the grassroots will emerge victorious.
As many new faces pick the courage to test their popularity in the game, some incumbents are clamouring to be re-elected.
However, it is becoming obvious that only those with excellent performance in their first term in office and good leader-follower relationship would gain the required support from their constituents.
Hon Ifeanyi Beverly Nkemdiche (nee Ikpeazu) is one of those, a caring, learned and articulate mother, whose first term in office brought good fortune to the people of Onitsha South II Constituency.
Hon Nkemdiche's good rapport with the masses earned her the Lady of the People honour and today she enjoys goodwill from both the political and apolitical groups in Onitsha.
