See how Ahmadu Fintiri won the PDP Primaries in Adamawa State

 
You nust have heard that the acting governor of Adamawa State, Almadu Fintiri has been declared the PDP’s flag bearer for the October 11 Gubernatorial Elections in the State.

Fintiri beat his opponents with 624 votes during Saturday’s election in Yola

Fintiri becomes PDP candidate for the October 11 governorship election in the State.

Here the top-3 results as voted by PDP delegates:

1. Ahmadu Fintiri – 624 votes;

2. The Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Ahmed Modibbo – 197 votes;

3. Ex-Military Administrator of Lagos State, Brig-Gen. Buba Marwa - 54 votes

Recall that Nuhu Ribadu and seven other aspirants stepped down for Fintiri days before the primaries.

According to a source said: 

“The poll was free and fair. The power of incumbency worked for Fintiri who had secured the loyalty and support of statutory delegates like local government chairmen, councillors, and other political appointees.


Also before the poll, a former Political Adviser to the President, Ahmed Gulak, stepped down for Fintiri, making up to four aspirants conceding the slot to the Acting Governor.”
