President Jonathan has held closed-door meeting with the Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Musa Mohammed, and the Deputy National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus.
The meeting which held at yesterday at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock, Abuja, is suspected to be in connection with the ongoing impeachment moves against Governor Al-Makura of Nassarawa State.
Emerging from the President’s office after meeting, the Speaker, accompanied by some principal officers of the House of Assembly, declined to divulge details of the parley to journalists saying:
“It is a private visit. I don’t have the mandate of the State Assembly to brief the press. Chairman of the House Committee on Information has the mandate to speak to the press on anything concerning impeachment”,
Also pressured to explain the purpose of the meeting, Secondus, who emerged from the President’s office a few minutes later, also declined.

As he hurried off to his waiting car, the PDP chieftain said: “It’s consultation. I can’t say whatever now. We are consulting.”
