Gov Sullivan orders his Deputy to resign or face impeachment

There are strong indications that mercenaries are already in motion to ensure that the Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Sunday Onyebuchi is impeached.

The rumour of his removal from office became rife on Wednesday when he reportedly had an open quarrel with his boss which made the governor request voluntary resignation or face impeachment.

Reports suggest that Gov Sullivan is accusing his deputy of insubordination, disloyalty and total disobedience due to his continued plan to contest the Enugu East Senatorial Seat against the Chief of Staff of the State, Chief (Mrs) Ifeoma Nwobodo.

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr Eugene Odo has reportedly garnered the support of two-thirds members required to effect the impeachment should Chief Onyebuchi refuse to resign.

A source told the Vanguard that signatures of over 20 lawmakers have been collected.

We are in Impeachment Season... This Deputy actually held long enough for the Governor!
