Chief (Hon) Sir Godson Ezenagu
(Ochendo Igbo) yesterday hosted the great people of Awka North and Awka South
Federal Constituency to a special treat at Barnhill Hotels, Awka.
Ochendo Igbo used the occasion to
formally inform his constituency of his next political aspiration.
According to him, “I am hosting you
today, to formally and most respectfully inform you all, of my readiness to
represent you at the National Assembly come 2015… my antecedents, very
inspiring experience and your towering desire for a voice at the Federal House
of Representatives, forms the core reasons for my aspiration”
In attendance, were the political
heavy weights within Awka North and South local government areas such as
Chief
Austin Ndigwe (Uzu Awka), Hon Harford Oseke, Lady Agbata among others.
Several youth and women associations
came in their numbers with different music groups.
Also present were House of Assembly
members, councilors, former commissioners and traditional rulers.
The leaders of All Progressives
Grand Alliance, APGA in the two local government areas graced the occasion to
show their support and all House of Assembly aspirants also honoured Ochendo’s
invitation.
The formal declaration became a
full party rally as the Dr Anaeze was formally received into the state’s ruling
party.
Dr Anaeze, a former Special Adviser
to Anambra State Governor, is the Secretary of Ozo Society and a political
scientist by profession.
The obviously cheerful party
faithful urged Chief Ezenagu to move on with his ambition as the entire Awka
North Constituency have endorsed his candidature with high hopes that Awka
South shall prefer his person noting that he has been tested and trusted.
