For those defending Rochas
Okorocha, it is important we review some of his policies, promises and programmes
and its sustainability.
1. FREE EDUCATION
Note that from the Universal Basic education( UBE ) Level education is free
upto JSS-3, Owelle thank u for giving us free education from SS1-SS-3, but pupils
and students can not enjoy the free in the education because registration fees
for common entrance examination rose from previous N500 to current N2000 for
public schools and N2,500 for private schools.
Price for Common Entrance Exam
stood now at N1,700, Price for Junior WAEC have gone three times higher that
what it was during Ohakim, senior WAEC now goes for about N23,000 naira. At the
tertiary level Shool fees was N37,000 with acceptance fee of N20;000 before
Rochas emergence, today students now pay acceptance fee of 70,000, when you
minus 20,000 paid under Ohakim for the same purpose from what they pay now, it
will give you 50,000 which if spread accross the 4 accedemic years will give
you 12,500 every year.
Add this sum to the 20,000 our
indigenous students pay as activation fee on reception of the so called free
education cheque, what it implies that every indigenous student pay N32,500
which if subtracted from the former N37,000 will leave you with a balance
N4,500, yet every Civil servant in Imo pay 20% of his/her salary monthly and
deducted from source to fund free education.
Calculate total number of civil
servants in imo state and multiply by 20% of the deducted salary in 12 months.
Think of State Government statutory impress to state institution like Imsu and
IMO polytechnic before now.
This will clearly proof to you that
truly there is a fraud called Free education. You then ask. Why did Law faculty
and Medical faculty of Imo State University lost accreditation in a supposed
free education state?
2. CLASSROOM BLOCKS
I challenge Owelle to commission any of the school projects done in the various wards in the state if he claims it's his project. The project is a federal government project in every ward of the Federation. Remember, Hon Commissioner for Finance Deacon Chike Okafor on his return from EFCC made a broadcast of Sunday 27th January 2013 on State Owned Orient F.M Radio station Owerri that N13.4 billion bond proceeds left over by Ohakim was used to fund free education school buildings and Hospitals. Remember also that our Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha told Imo people that he used the N3.5 billion from the lease of Adapam for the building of school blocks, remember also that Ohakim left another N3 billion in UBEC account.

Now federal ministry of education
came on inspection tour in Imo state to ascertain what Imo Government have been
doing with Federal government grant on education given to Owelle Rochas
Okorocha, Imo state government went over night and painted few completed school
block though not furnished with inscription UBE funded.
Ndi Imo, who is fooling who. Are we
under some kind of spiritual influence. What is happening, lies, deception
everywhere.
3. GENERAL HOSPITAL
Federal government fund Primary and secondary medical care through grants from MDG and Sure-P. Under Ohakim there is nothing like sure-P then.
Federal government fund Primary and secondary medical care through grants from MDG and Sure-P. Under Ohakim there is nothing like sure-P then.
The former Governor revitalised
through careful renovations, equipping and staffing of 45 primary health care
centres and secondary Health centres across Imo State.Governor Rochas Okorocha
came and sold all government Hospitals including 11 general Hospitals to
LAMTECH.
A firm owned by a Northerner, our
General Hospitals and Health centres were leased. We ask, for how much? What is
the rationale behind selling the existing General Hospitals to start building
new ones?
After Owelle told Imo people that
Government has no business running Hospitals? Why do Owelle claim that he built
27 new General Hospitals when all the projects are below 40% completion.
Is Hospital a mere building yet to
be completed? Or completed and equipped building ? Let me challange Owelle to
point a single SURE-P Hospital as contained in the template for the SURE-P
grant sent to Imo state.
If Owelle is sincere he should have
finished these hospital project considering the amount of money he enjoys from
LGA account for instance, Mbaitoli LGA since 2012 has recieved nothing less
than 210million from federal account yet Governor Okorocha only pay TC chairman
monthly salary N250,000, pay traditional rullers salaries, primary school
teachers salaries which cos about 40million, pension which cost about 20
million, Owelle still keeps at least 140million of Mbaitoli allocation which if
put together for 32 months will give you 4.2 billion naria and yet He has not
put up to 200 million naria into the hospital project !
Is this true? Someone should confirms please!
