Politics they say, is a game of numbers.
As All Progressives Grand Alliance publicly declared their
unalloyed support for President Jonathan last Saturday, August 30, 2014, the
various aspirants within the party used the opportunity to show their might.
It was easy to predict the popularity of each aspirant as
they match round with their placards, banners and choice music.
However, “Obodo delu jii” when Chief Dubem Obaze rose to
match with his supporters. Recall that Chief Dubem was recently honoured by the
Traditional Rulers in Anambra North as the “Ife aka Chi” and he has also received endorsement with several pressure groups from his Senatorial Zone.
The number of followers that joined him sent out a loud
applause, a positive signal that Chief Obaze is truly being sent to the Senate by
his people. His team comprised the youths and the elderly, current political
office holders and many other aspirants.
