Stella Oduah under pressure to contest

 

The battle for who to represent the people of Anambra North Senatorial District gets hotter as early feelers indicate that the former Aviation Minister, Prince Stella Oduah, is under pressure to contest for the Anambra North senatorial election under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In support of her aspiration, Women of Anambra North Senatorial Zone, comprising seven local government areas, have inaugurated Local Government coordinators for the Oduah support group.

The women numbering over 4,000 from the various local governments had earlier signed a communiqué adopting the former minister as their preferred choice for the Senate for Anambra North Zone, comprising of Anambra East, Anambra West, Onitsha North, Onitsha South, Ayamelum, Oyi and Ogbaru Local Governments, Awkuzu, Oyi.

While appreciating the women’s support for Princess Oduah, a former PDP Chairman in the state and Director-General, Stella Oduah Campaign Organisation, Chief Pandolla Okwuosa, expressed satisfaction with the overwhelming response showed by the women of Anambra North Senatorial Zone irrespective of their party affiliations.

Okwuosa urged them to continue to support the good intensions of the former minister to improve the lots of women in the zone.
