Former Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike has emerged the winner of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primaries in Rivers state.
Wike emerged the PDP governorship candidate on today, Monday, December 8, in a peaceful primary conducted at Community Secondary School, Nkpolu in Port Harcourt Local Government Area.
According to AIT report,
Wike in his acceptance speech said he will wrestle the state back from the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC.
Wike polled 1,083 votes, while Dumbari Dimkpa came a distant second with 21 votes.
West Ibinabo got three votes while Emmanuel Georgewill and Lee Maeba got one vote each.
