Reports say the Nigerian Military has arrested a key member
of the Boko Haram sect who is a computer expet.
The foreign expert is allegedly behind video shots on Boko
Haram’s terror attacks sent to online media organization and foreign media
houses.
It was gathered from military sources that the computer
analyst, who is currently being interrogated, was responsible for configuring
computer images website and internet accesses that enables the Boko Haram sect
to fight media and psychological operations.
The sources informed that the terrorist was arrested after a
shootout with a group of the Boko Haram insurgents that attacked Konduga in Borno State in an attempt to recover the
body of the killed impostor
of Abubakar Shekau, the leader of Boko Haram.
It was gathered that the arrested foreigner has made shocking
confessional statements about the terrorist’s plans and modus operandi as well
as their backers.
“We have made a big break through; the computer analyst is
opening up and has made revelations on their modus operandi .
“We also discovered that the ICT expert is the back bone of
the signals and communication links of lthe ate impersonator, Mohammed Bashir,
who had been posing as Abubakar Shekau, whenever he talked on the youtube,” a
military source told Vanguard.
It was also gathered from the arrested insurgent how the late
Impostor of Shekau was able to reach out to the world and claim victory over
Nigerian troops after several attacks.
Among the terrorist’s confessions was that there is a
successor crisis in the camp of the sect, adding that some of their members are
yet to be disarmed because they were yet to come to terms to the fact that
erstwhile leader, Shakau
has been killed.
