APGA dissolves Imo State Exco

As part of efforts aimed at repositioning the party for the general elections in 2015 and to ensure a level playing ground for all the candidates, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has announced the dissolution of its Caretaker Committee in Imo State.
This is as just the party’s leadership expressed happiness that the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, would not be its candidate in the general elections next year.

The National Chairman, Chief Victor Umeh, said Okorocha has desecrated all the norms that Ndigbo are known and revered.
The party congratulated the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, for his recent victory at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
Umeh said “?the victory is a vindication of the express will of Ndi Anambra and the position of our great party that the November 2013 Governorship Election in the state was peaceful, free and fair.
“The party commends His Excellency for his enormous achievements in numerous areas of development in the state; especially in the area of tackling head long, the issue of security of lives and properties in Anambra State.
“The Party urges His Excellency not to relent in the speedy development of all other sectors of Anambra State. Within the first three months of His Excellency he has put in place a lot of projects, including the flagging off of the three arms zone in Awka, three fly overs in Awka, and we are sure that within one year that the contractor promised we shall have a brand new government house, house of assembly complex and the judiciary complex.”
